Archetype Readings

A thick impenetrable mist swirls around us, which obscures, disorientates, and utterly bewilders. Which way to go? Which path was I following? Where have I been? Who is accompanying me on my journey, and who have I left behind?
These are all questions that we ask ourselves in the search for our sense of self, our sense of direction and our sense of connection. And yet the answers that we seek are elusive and often cryptic, leaving us standing alone in the geography of our soul confused, indecisive and with no clear idea of the way forward.
In my readings, I shine a light to illuminate, I provide a map to orientate, and I invoke the sylphs to disperse the mist.
My readings connect clients to Greek god/goddess archetypes, allowing them to understand themselves better, to explore their life path, and to reframe any aspects of their narrative which continues to cause them pain or distress.
The readings provide a symbolic reinterpretation of the narratives by which we understand our lives, and will discuss some of the stories relating to the gods and goddesses, in order to illustrate similarities between personal lived experience and mythological archetype. I work using a combination of intuition and analysis, and so I require that my clients complete a questionnaire, which I then use to ensure that the readings remain relevant to the client and their life path.
It is important to recognize that all archetypes have both light and shadow aspects, and that the shadow side of the archetype is not negative. We act according to our shadow when we operate from a position of fear of the unknown. When we understand ourselves, our motivations, our actions, we can make conscious decisions which remain congruent with the light side of the archetypal energy.
My readings address both the light and the shadow aspects of the god/goddess archetypes, as well as offering a comprehensive exploration of the archetype, the mythological narratives that accompany it, and the way in which these narratives translate to everyday lived experience.

I was in conversation with Amy as part of some stock-taking and reflection I was doing, looking at the aspects of my work I was good at and loved, the parts I was frustrated with, trying to find for the words for the things I *really* wanted to do. Amy listened quietly. After a while she told me a story, no more than that, about Ares, stuck in a bronze jar and nearly driven mad in captivity, and about Hermes, releasing him. The story made sense to me. Not on a rational level, simply on an intuitive level. How I can see people’s words and stories stuck, as if in a bronze jar, and how I can help to free them.
I still have the work to do to figure out just what this means and how to make it real, but it is an image and a story that is lingering with me, that makes sense, that motivates and drives me forward, that gives me a feeling of peacefulness, of knowing that this is part of what I must do.
